Released by 20th Century Studios, Baz Luhrmann’s “MOULIN ROUGE!” premiered at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival. At the 74th Academy Awards, the film was nominated for eight Oscars, including Best Picture, and won two. As in the film, Moulin Rouge! The Musical celebrates over 160 years of music–from Offenbach to Lady Gaga. The stage musical features many of the iconic songs from the movie, and also includes recent hits released since the movie premiered 21 years ago.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical opened to critical acclaim at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in the Summer of 2019 and reopened in September 2021 following the shutdown of Broadway due to the pandemic. “Spectacular! Euphoric! In Moulin Rouge! The Musical, life is beautiful,” raves The New York Times. “Moulin Rouge! The Musical is a fabulous new musical. The high begins the instant you walk into the theatre,” said the New York PostEntertainment Weekly concludes that “it’s easy to believe that Moulin Rouge! The Musical could run for 50 years.”

An Artist, Activist, & Atlanta native, Jahi Kearse (Toulouse- Lautrec) most recently was seen on Broadway in the Tony® Award-winning Ain’t Too Proud, as well as Holler If Ya Hear Me and Baby It’s You. Off-Broadway credits include: The Total Bent and Fortress Of Solitude (The Public Theater). Kearse was also featured in The Preacher’s Wife (The Alliance Theater) and The Hippest Trip (ACT).

Kaitlin Mesh (Nini) is thrilled to be making her National Tour and Principal debut as “Nini” after nearly 6 years on Broadway with Moulin Rouge! The Musical as a proud Original Broadway Company Member (OBC u/s Nini). Other Broadway credits include: West Side Story (OBC u/s Anybodys) Anything Goes (Virtue) and Nice Work If You Can Get It.  She can be seen on screen in “Chicago P.D”, “New Amsterdam”, “Law & Order: SVU”, “Homeland”, “Power” etc.
