This page provides information about special ticket offers provided by the various venues and shows. Links will direct you to either the venue’s website or the offering partner. If applicable, official rules for offers will be found via the offeror’s website.

Although every effort goes into providing accurate, comprehensive information, offers are subject to change and not all engagements may appear in each case.

Rush Tickets

A rush ticket is a same-day ticket for a show. Rush tickets are available to claim and buy on a first-come, first-served basis. Typically, rush tickets are available to students, educators, first responders, military, and other groups. Limits on the number of tickets may also be present.

Methods for obtaining rush tickets include arriving at the box office at a certain time, or using an app to apply. Consult the current offers for specific information.

Oftentimes, there is no guarantee of where you’ll be seating; and, if multiple tickets can be acquired, there is no guarantee that seats will be next to each other.

$40 Rush Tickets

  • A limited number of $40 Rush tickets will be made available for all performances, on a first‐come, first-served basis, through the TodayTix app at https://bit.ly/TheWizSFRush
  • A limited number of $40 Rush tickets will be available for every performance beginning 2 hours prior to curtain at the Golden Gate Theatre Box Office. Cash or credit. 2 per person.

Lottery Tickets

A lottery ticket is a ticket to a show that you enter to win. Winners are selected at random, and they will be able to purchase discounted tickets for an upcoming performance of their chosen show.

Many venues offer lottery tickets to shows. While lottery tickets are often cheaper in price than usual tickets, patrons have no guarantee of winning the lottery, and so an inherit amount of risk and uncertainty is involved.

One major resource used to distribute ticket offers is Lucky Seat. This site is updated frequently with new offers. We suggest consulting this site for new and existing offers. In addition, TodayTix provides lottery opportunities if you’re in select cities.

Note that some shows offer tickets to each performance, including The Book of Mormon and MJ. In addition, Hamilton has its own app to use to enter the lottery (see below for information).

HOW TO ENTER

  • Use the official app for Hamilton, now available for all iOS and Android devices in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store (http://hamiltonmusical.com/app)
  • You can also visit http://hamiltonmusical.com/lottery to register.
  • The lottery will open at 10:00 AM every Friday and will close for entry at 12:00 PM the next Thursday prior to the following week’s performances.
  • Winner and non-winner notifications will be sent between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM every Thursday for the upcoming week’s performances via email and mobile push notification. Once notified, winners will have one hour to claim and pay for their ticket(s).
  • Lottery entrants can share about the show on their Twitter, Facebook, and/or Instagram accounts to gain an additional lottery entries per platform.
  • No purchase or payment necessary to enter or participate.
  • Each winning entrant may purchase up to two (2) tickets.
  • Only one entry per person, per performance. Repeat entries and disposable email addresses will be discarded.
  • Lottery tickets may be picked up at will call beginning 2 hours prior to the performance with a valid photo ID. Lottery tickets void if resold.
  • All times listed are in the local time zone.

  • Patrons must be 18 years or older and have a valid, non-expired photo ID that matches the name used to enter.
  • Tickets are non-transferable. Ticket limits and prices displayed are at the sole discretion of the show and are subject to change without notice.
  • Lottery prices are not valid on prior purchases. Lottery ticket offer cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions.
  • All sales final – no refunds or exchanges. Lottery may be revoked or modified at any time without notice. A purchase will not improve the chances of winning.
