Word came late on Thursday that the producers of Xanadu have decided to cancel the upcoming national tour.
With performances starting next week, the production posted this tweet signifying that the tour will be indefinitely postponed:
In order to get a successful tour on the road, numerous factors must align. Unfortunately, in this case, we were unable to garner enough support in certain markets. pic.twitter.com/sdf0aKpjAf

Following the announcement of the national tour, the show had high hopes of touring across the nation to several major locations, including: Cincinnati, Syracuse, Boston, Philadelphia, Detroit, Washington, D.C., Indianapolis, Buffalo, Cleveland, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Charlotte and San Francisco.
In addition, the production was set to feature two participants from RuPaul’s Drag Race: Joshua Allan Eads (Ginger Minj) and Jerick Hoffer (Jinkx Monsoon).
As indicated in their tweet, if you purchased a ticket, please contact the venue from which you purchased your ticket for a full refund.
The show page will still be available to view for research purposes only as it will help document the 2019/2020 season’s story.
