
Broadway Across Canada has unveiled their upcoming 2020-2021 Season in Ottawa, ON. Five theatrical productions will take centre stage at the National Arts Centre beginning next summer including the Ottawa premiere engagement of Dear Evan Hansen and Mean Girls, the hilarious hit musical from book writer Tina Fey.
“With a record number of subscribers last season, we remain so appreciative of the support and excitement surrounding our 2019-2020 season featuring Hamilton. It’s a true privilege to share in the Broadway experience with our loyal patrons year after year at the National Arts Centre, our home in the Nation’s Capital. In our upcoming season we tried to program a nice balance of highly anticipated new musical productions like Dear Evan Hansen, Mean Girls and Anastasia with returning classics like Fiddler on the Roof and Wicked.” said Shana Levin, Vice President, Broadway Across Canada. “We will also launch new subscriber benefits this season, which include online upgrades and ticket exchanges in order to enable our Ottawa Subscribers to take control of their tickets in a more convenient and user friendly way.”
Kicking off the 2020-2021 Broadway Across Canada Season will be our season option Wicked, the untold true story of the Witches of Oz. The subscription package will then launch in October with Anastasia, a dazzling show that will transport you from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s. Next up Tony®-winning director Bartlett Sher brings his fresh take on a beloved masterpiece to life as Fiddler on the Roof . This is followed by Dear Evan Hansen, winner of six 2017 TONY® Awards including Best Musical and the 2018 GRAMMY® Award for Best Musical Theatre Album. Closing the season is Mean Girls, the hilarious hit musical from an award-winning creative team.
