“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” To Tour in 2020

Coming with today’s 2019/2020 season announcement in Easton, PA is also the news that You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown will be touring the nation in 2020.

Commemorating the the 70th Anniversary of the comic strip, the Peanuts gang comes to life onstage in a fresh interpretation of this whimsical and witty musical. Join Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy and more as they deal with the joys and frustrations of kites, school, baseball and first love. In this new production featuring new musical arrangements with actors playing their own instruments, delightful numbers like “My Blanket and Me,” “The Book Report” and “Happiness” abound with joy.

This production of You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown is being produced with the support and endorsement of Peanuts Worldwide, who manages the Peanuts character brands.

The original production first premiered in 1971 at the John Golden Theatre. A revival came in 1999 at the Ambassador Theatre, and won two Tony Awards: Best Featured Actor (Roger Bart) and Best Featured Actress (Kristin Chenoweth).
