Broadway at the Hobby Center (Houston, TX) has announced their 2022-2023 Season, which features five Houston premieres and Tony Award® winners.
The season included the Broadway mega-sensation Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird and the music phenomenon Jesus Christ Superstar 50th Anniversary national tour. Also, the new original musical and global sensation SIX, one of the most beloved romantic stories of all time, Pretty Woman: The Musical, Tony Award® winner for Best Musical Moulin Rouge! The Musical where the revolutionary film comes to life onstage, and the new smash-hit Ain’t Too Proud that follows The Temptations’ extraordinary journey. Finally, Houston’s most “popular” musical Wicked returns as a 2022-2023 Season Option.
“What a joy it has been to come back to the pure magic of a communal live theater experience,” said Rob Doty, Board Chairman, The Hobby Center Foundation. “As I sat in the audience with my fellow Houstonians and theatergoers, we were reminded of what we had been missing and now we look forward to what new experiences we will have together again with the 2022-2023 season of Broadway. So new in fact, that five of the shows arrive in Houston for the first time. I hope you are as equally excited for your season as we are to share it with you!”
