BroadwaySF (San Francisco, CA), part of the Ambassador Theatre Group, announced today its ticketholder policy for COVID-19. The policy is in effect immediately and will cover all performances of Hamilton, which runs from August 10 – September 5, 2021 at the Orpheum Theatre, San Francisco (1192 Market Street). The policy is in effect for all ticketholders.

All ticketholders, regardless of age, are required to show proof of full COVID vaccination or of negative test results from a COVID PCR test (taken within 72 hours of performance time) for entry into the Orpheum Theatre. “Fully vaccinated” means that your performance is at least 14 days after your final vaccine dose. Patrons under the age of 12 must show negative PCR test results within the 72 hour window. Children under 5 are not admitted. All patrons, regardless of age and vaccination status, are required to wear masks inside the theatre at all times (except when consuming food or beverages). More information at BroadwaySF.com.

To enter the Orpheum Theatre, please bring a photo ID and one of the following:

BroadwaySF’s policy is subject to change for future productions. Any changes will be based on the expertise of the medical community and City, and in consultation with each individual production.

“We take the health of our community seriously,” stated BroadwaySF Managing Director Rainier Koeners. “When our theatres shut down more than 17 months ago, we knew that we needed to follow the experts, many of whom live in the Bay Area, to best understand how and when we could return to live performances with the safety of everyone as our biggest concern. Our foremost task is to assure that we have safety protocols in place that will allow everyone to feel confident in the safety of coming to the theatre and, once again, seeing the best that Broadway has to offer.”

Tickets to Hamilton are currently on sale via BroadwaySF.com.

Editor’s Note: Will you be in the room where it will happen? If you are planning on attending performances for the first week of the show’s run in San Francisco (August 10-15), I am interested in getting feedback about your experience for a potential article featured on this site. Participants include patrons, venue crew, performers, show crew, etc.

If you wish to participate, please send your experience via email to broadwaysback@gmail.com.

Pictures are also welcome. Feedback will be accepted until Monday, August 16 at noon PT.

After the deadline, should you want to submit a general review of the show, you may do so on our page dedicated to the show. Simply go to tourstoyou.org/shows/hamilton-peggy and scroll down to the Reviews section. Review sections are now also available on all active musical and play pages.
